Dear EYC Parents and Friends,

We would like to invite you to two Open Forums to discuss the Youth and Children’s Ministries at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. It is our hope and prayer that you will be able to attend. During these sessions, we will discuss our vision to foster continual growth and stability to our children and youth ministries. We will also describe the newly created staff position of Director of Children and Youth Ministry and why the role is so important to our mission.

These forums will be held at these times:

Both forums will be held in the back of the Parish Hall.

We welcome your ideas, suggestions, concerns and participation. Please feel free to call us with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,
David Choura, Interim Director of Youth Ministry
Rini Choura, Vestry Representative and Interim Director of Children’s Ministries

Stephen Ministries Supervision Meeting is this Thursday, July 10.

From Doug Starr: In preparation for our new 8:30 a.m. liturgy beginning in the fall, we are gathering musicians and trying music in so-called, Jam Sessions. Our June Jam Session was such a success that we have established two more for the summer. It’s never too late to join us as we prepare music for the 8:30 a.m. liturgy. Each Jam Session is a Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Our two Jam Session Saturdays are: July 12 and August 2. Bring your instruments, hearts and voices. If you play a brass or reed instrument, please let Doug know that you are coming so scores can be prepared.

Canterbury Fair will be held on November 22. Every Wednesday at noon, volunteers meet in the Conference Room to make crafts and have fun. Please join us!

If you can help with Washington County Habitat for Humanity, please join us on July 26 at the church at 8:15 a.m If you have any questions, please call John Adams at 412-531-7124.

JULY 20 WILL BE FOOD PANTRY SUNDAY. Please remember to bring your contributions of non-perishable items to church and to the altar on July 20. Suggestions of what to buy: canned tuna, soup, vegetables, fruit, crackers, peanut butter, pastas, Jell-O and pudding mixes, spaghetti sauce, jelly, tea bags, coffee, cereal, soaps, paper products, health and beauty aids. Standard sizes are preferred. "No salt", "no sugar", "low sodium" foods are also needed. Remember to "Buy One, Get One" or as your Outreach Commission likes to say, "Buy One, Give One." For the Saturday evening congregation-the date is July 19.

Please join us on July 30th at 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall for a meeting to discuss the Church grounds. A committee will be established to oversee the trees, plantings, pots, and flower beds around the church. Looking for energetic volunteers to help plan future planting projects, and for those who don’t mind getting their hands dirty, maintain current spaces.
