This month, we wind up reading entire chapters of each of the Gospels, which should make the storyline a little easier to follow than it has been some other months. We will also wind up reading through the events of most of Jesus’ ministry.

Last month, our readings focused mostly on who Jesus was and what he did. The authors of the book have tried to spend much looking at the way people reacted to Jesus when he was alive. Of course, these aren’t two discreet phenomena. Since much of this month’s readings are somewhat chronological, you may find it helpful to begin a few verses ahead of the assignment, to get a little of the background, or understand what is going on. It might make your readings deeper.
