Since its establishment in 1957, St. Paul’s has believed in a strong partnership between parents and the school in order to create a community that puts the needs of the children first. Our overall philosophy is based on the concept that education should guide and challenge children to develop lives of genuine meaning, purpose and service in the world they will inherit. Our curriculum is designed to prepare children for the active work of life.

Our curriculum reflects this philosophy and thus concerns itself not only with the child’s intellectual development, but also with their overall social, emotional and physical development. We strive to encourage age appropriate independence, self discipline, and to help children comfortably attempt new challenges and activities that will lead to pleasure in learning and respect for others in their world.

St. Paul’s has an outstanding staff of early childhood educators and specialists. Our daily curriculum is the result of our teachers’ trained observations of the children and their response to the child’s interests. The curriculum is not exclusively teacher or child-directed, but a result of interaction between teachers and children with both asking questions, contributing ideas, and reacting to them by building and learning through worthwhile ideas themes, and projects.
