September 17 - Walking the Camino Frances
This year, St. Paul's parishioner, Ann Coffaro, went on an an amazing pilgrimage journey. We are excited to share the story of this transformative spiritual experience!
The Camino Frances is a 500-mile journey that begins at the base of the Pyrenees in France and extends northwest across Spain. It is an important Christian pilgrimage route with over 260,000 pilgrims walking the way each year. The Apostle St. James, Santiago, son of Zebedee, spent time teaching in Spain and legend has it, was later buried near the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. The journey crosses 3 mountain ranges and the “Meseta”, a treeless plains type region, and goes through many tiny villages and several larger cities including Pamplona, Burgos, and Leon, Spain.
Come hear about this amazing experience. Learn about the importance of taking time to restore your body and soul, having fresh eyes to the world around you, and reflecting on your relationships.
September 24 - St. Paul’s Episcopal Nursery School: Celebrating 60 years of nurturing children and families
Please join us as we celebrate St. Paul’s Episcopal Nursery School’s 60th anniversary on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th during both the 8:45 service and the adult education hour to commemorate and recognize the school’s special milestone. We will take a look back at these 60 years through a multi-media display of photos, video and an interactive time line. You may be surprised to find familiar faces of parishioners as children, who attended the nursery school years or even decades ago, as well as those students who attended in the recent past.
St. Paul’s Church is one of approximately 950 parishes and cathedrals in the Episcopal Church who has a school or nursery school program as part of their ministry. We are proud of the nursery school’s 60 years of success for many reasons including the collaborative relationship between the school and church and hope you will join us to celebrate and learn more about the school’s history. See what has made St. Paul’s Episcopal Nursery School such a special place for some of the youngest members of the South Hills community over the span of 6 decades.

Education for Ministry (EfM)
EfM is an intentional small group that meets weekly to grow in the study of Scripture, spiritual disciplines, and worship. No formal training is required; the only thing necessary is a desire to go deeper. EfM was designed by a seminary professor at Sewanee's School of Theology, and in many ways it feels like a "seminary-for-the-rest-of us" (without the exams). Garrett would love to talk to you more if you are interested! [email protected].
