I don’t know about all of you but I am SO glad that it’s spring! We are wrapping up our program year on May 19 at St. Paul’s with our Second Annual End-Of-Sunday-School Extravaganza, which will be held after the first combined service of the summer. Worship is at 9:45am, followed by the Extravaganza—the kids are already working on their acts, and the choir will present a special performance. If this year is anything like last year, it is a “not to be missed” show! We will also have an all-parish breakfast! Karen Viggiano invites you to help with preparing and bringing simple yet delicious stratas (egg casseroles). Check in with her at the donut table to let her know you plan to bring one. You can find the recipe at www.stpaulspgh.org/strata.
It is also time to start thinking about Summer Activities at St. Paul’s but right now I just want to make sure all of you are aware that Vacation Bible Camp registration is available!
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’s Vacation Bible Camp will run from Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, from 1pm to 3:30pm. Children who are 3 and potty trained through kids who have finished 4th grade are invited to be campers. Kids who are 5th grade through high school are invited to be helpers and counselors.Adults are needed as well to make the week the best experience ever for the kids!
Our theme this year will be “Stick with Love”. Each day, we will be exploring how people of faith traditions that are different than our own worship God, and we will learn what their faith means to them.We will be focusing on how the things that make us different are special, and should be valued and celebrated. We will close out our week with a picnic on Friday, June 28 at 3:30pm in Mt. Lebanon Park. We will meet all parents and guardians (parishioners are invited too!) for a singing celebration and picnic in the lower grove, like we did last year.
Registration for Stick with Love can be found at www.stpaulspgh.org/kids.
