From Our Rector: Prayers for Solace and Strength

Dear Friends:
When the times feel uncertain, the world around us seems chaotic, or the events of our nation disappoint, our faith invites us to gather in community for solace and strength.

Today, Wednesday, November 6, we have several opportunities to gather together for solace and strength.

  • 11:00AM – Holy Eucharist, the Rev. Erin Morey celebrating and preaching in the Sanctuary and livestream
  • Noon – Bible Study with the Rector in the Conference Room
  • 8:00PM – Compline for Solace and Strength, followed by a time of reflection in community -This will be a hybrid in-person in the Sanctuary and online on zoom.  We will gather for a short compline prayer service together. Then, those in person and online will have separate times for conversation and reflection together facilitated by our clergy. To join, please contact the church office at [email protected] or clergy for the zoom link/password.

I invite you today to lean into the life of our community and faith together.  I look forward to seeing you.

Peace,
Noah

The Reverend Noah H. Evans, Rector

A Prayer for Hope
When evil darkens our world, give us light. When despair numbs our souls, give us hope. When we stumble and fall, lift us up. When doubts assail us, give us faith. When nothing seems sure, give us trust. When ideals fade, give us vision. When we lose our way, be our guide! That we may find serenity in Your presence, and purpose in doing Your will.  AMEN
