May 12 (Mother's Day) will be our last Sunday of the regular Program Year. We will have Sunday Worship at 8am, 8:45am, and 10:45am.
There will be Sunday School and Adult Forum during our 9:45am Education Hour that day.
The End of the Year Sunday School Spectacular will be Sunday, May 19th after our first combined worship of the year at 9:45am.
Each class will participate in a skit or song or anything else they want to do, and the choir will present a special performance. After that, we are on summer break from Sunday School until September.
There will also be an all-parish breakfast.
Karen Viggiano invites you to help with preparing and bringing simple yet delicious stratas (egg casseroles). Stop by the donut table to check in with Karen to volunteer. The recipe is below:
Easy Brunch Egg Strata
1 lb bacon**
2 cups milk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
4 slices Italian bread cubed (a bag of cubed stuffing works just as well as long as it covers the bottom of the dish)
1 cup shredded sharp cheese
1 med. green pepper chopped**
Cook bacon and crumble. Beat eggs, add milk, salt and mustard.Mix thoroughly. Place a layer of bread cubes on the bottom of a well greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle bacon, green pepper and cheese over bread cubes.Pour egg mixture over top. Refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 for 45 minutes.
**You can eliminate the bacon and use sausage.
**You can add red pepper, onion or mushrooms as well as green pepper or not add anything at all to make a plain casserole.
Whatever you decide, please mark it so we know what ingredients are used.
We will also have our annual Acolyte Recognition this day at the 9:45 service.
This is also the day that we will say farewell to Cristina Adams as she completes her internship, and wish Doug Starr luck as he embarks on his summer sabbatical!
