Cotillion 2024-2025 Information for Parents

Cotillion has been offered to rising 6th grade students at St. Paul’s since 1957; it has been around for 64 years! Cotillion is a social education program that uses dance as a tool to teach social and character skills that are not normally covered in school. Students learn to be comfortable with themselves and others, to communicate better, and to develop respect and self-confidence. In Cotillion, students learn dances like the waltz, foxtrot, or tango. They also learn important life skills such as how to introduce themselves, the importance of dress and appearance, and basic table manners. Cotillion helps students gain confidence in themselves.

Cotillion will consist of nine monthly sessions from September to May. Most classes are focused on social etiquette and dancing. However, in the early spring participants will be instructed on table etiquette while enjoying a multi-course meal. The cost of cotillion is $250, which includes the cost of the dinner.

St. Paul’s parishioners will receive first priority, followed by students in Mt. Lebanon schools, followed by students of other districts. Within those groups, sign ups will be taken on a first come, first served basis. If you have any questions, please email [email protected], or call (412)531-7153, ext. 98.

Calendar Dates are subject to change; All sessions will take place on Saturday 7:30- 9PM
