The Refugee Support Committee was formed in response to the international refugee crisis. Through partnerships with local organizations, the group aims to link our members’ energy and skills with programs designed to ease the hardships faced by displaced families.
The Refugee Support Committee welcomes the involvement of St. Paul’s parishioners as well as interested friends from the community.
NAMS - Northern Area Multi-Service Center
One of only a few local agencies to work with the State Department to resettle international refugees in Pittsburgh.
SHIM - South Hills Interfaith Movement
Through ISAC and other programs, SHIM helps connect refugee families to resources in the community.
GPLC - Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council
As part of a broader mission, the GPLC provides training to volunteers interested in teaching English as a second language to non-native English speakers, including recent refugees.
Ananias Mission
Ananias Mission is a Pittsburgh-based charity established in 2016 to facilitate the sponsorship of Syrian refugee families by churches in Canada.
