Christmas Services

We are so happy to gather for Christmas this year!

In order to keep everyone safe while gathering, we will cap the number of people in the Sanctuary at 150 people per service. In order to be seated in the Sanctuary during the service, you will need to have a ticket for each person in your party. If you arrive without a ticket, but there is still space in the Sanctuary, you will be seated in the Sanctuary. Once the Sanctuary is filled, we will seat people in the Undercroft, where we will have a projection of the service.

Tickets are now available. See below.

Masks are required for all indoor worship services.

Christmas Eve in the Sanctuary: We will livestream both the 12 noon and 2pm services. They will be available for you to watch throughout the entire evening on our website here and on Facebook.

  • 12 noon with Christmas Pageant Watch Pageant Livestream
  • 2pm Watch 2pm Livestream
  • 4pm with pull-out Children's Sermon
  • 6pm
  • 8pm
  • 10pm Contemplative service

Christmas Day Service will be at 10am. We will be celebrating at a joint service with St. John Carnegie, 601 Washington Ave, Carnegie, PA 15106. No tickets will be needed for this service.

Reserve Your Tickets for Christmas Eve Services!

Our Christmas Eve services have an attendance cap of 150 individuals, so we are using a sign-up sheet to help manage attendance.

Sign up to secure a seat in the sanctuary for yourself, and add all other family members in the quantity section of the sign-up. You will find more detailed instructions on the sign up page.

You must sign up everyone coming with you, so that we have an accurate count of individuals for each service. The email confirmation you receive after signing up will serve as your entrance ticket at the door. Please have your email either printed out, or available on your phone, upon arrival.

We are requesting one sign up per carload/household. If you have family that will arrive separately, they should sign up separately and have their own entrance ticket to present.

Christmas Tickets

If there are unreserved seats on Christmas Eve, they will be available to walk-ins on a first-come-first-served basis. Additional seating will also be available in the Undercroft where the service will be live-streamed.

Please email Andrea with any questions at all or call her at 412-531-7153 ext. 14.

Christmas Day Meal Delivery!
After such a successful and meaningful Christmas Day meal delivery last year, we are again partnering with St. christmas-dinner-2020_871John Carnegie to offer a Christmas Day meal to those in need. This is an awesome family volunteer opportunity to give back for a bit on Christmas Day.
There are many ways to help out! You can donate a pie, you can help package the meals on Christmas morning to mid-afternoon (one hour shifts), or you can help deliver meals around the South Hills between 12 and 3pm. Can you give an hour on Christmas to help us with this meal? Contact Andrea with any questions. Sign up to help here

Christmas Music

"There is no rose of such virtue as is the rose that bear Jesu" -15th c. Carol to the Holy Mother

This beautiful carol will be sung by the choir at each Christmas Eve liturgy. Additionally, parish musicians will provide vocal and instrumental solos throughout the night as preludes, communion music and postludes. Across our five Christmas Eve services there will not be a "main" service with orchestra and brass or full choir as in years past. There will be familiar and beloved Christmas carols to be sung by all. Silent Night sung in lowered lights is just one example.
We are very thankful to St. Paul's Chancel Choir, organists, pianists, cellists, vocal soloists and others for their musical gifts this Christmas Eve.

Give Now

Pledging is a covenant made to contribute a certain amount of money over a period of time. Our stewardship campaign is asking parishioners to let us know what they will be able to contribute to St. Paul's in 2022 so that we can plan for our mission and ministry in the coming year. As a member of our community, we invite you to participate in our annual stewardship campaign through your personal financial pledge.

Note: This year we are moving to a new company for online giving: Breeze. To access online giving through Breeze, please click here.

The St. Paul's Endowment Fund is the cornerstone of a long-range program to provide future financial stability for the parish. It is created through bequests of money and property. Once, invested, the bequests provide income for the special needs of the parish and designated programs.
