Deepening Our Roots: Giving and Stewardship Campaign 2024

On behalf of the Vestry and the Stewardship Commission, we ask you to join us as we “Deepen Our Roots” in this parish by pledging or making a recurring gift to St. Paul’s for the coming year of 2024.

stewardship-tree_33What is the Giving and Stewardship Campaign? Each year, St. Paul’s asks parishioners to say how much they are going to give the parish over the next year. This is called a pledge. The vestry can then use these pledges to predict how much money St. Paul’s will have in its budget over the next year, and they can plan for the next year of bills, worship services, salaries, outreach, and education.

Some parishioners set up a recurring gift online -- this counts as a pledge too! St. Paul’s relies on parishioners to make a pledge or a recurring gift so that we can keep the lights on, celebrate the Eucharist, work with our community partners, pay staff, and run all the programming that the parish depends on. Your pledge or recurring gift keeps St. Paul’s running.

Why are pledges and recurring gifts so important in an Episcopal parish like St. Paul’s? Bottom line, you are the only real source of income to fund all that we do at St. Paul’s. We get no financial support from the Diocese, and our Endowment Fund is quite small. Your pledge or recurring gift for 2024 – known in advance – allows parish leaders to anticipate revenue for the 2024 budget and plan for all the ministries, services, and programs we do (from music to church school to outreach, from staffing to HVAC to missions, and everything in between).

Whether you are brand new to St. Paul’s or have been here for 50 years, will you prayerfully consider a pledge or recurring gift to St. Paul’s in 2024? Please join me in Deepening Our Roots during this giving and stewardship season. Hand in your pledge or set up your recurring gift by Sundae Sunday, November 19th when we celebrate the end of a successful pledge season with ice cream sundaes after every service!

The St. Paul's Endowment Fund is the cornerstone of a long-range program to provide future financial stability for the parish. It is created through bequests of money and property. Once, invested, the bequests provide income for the special needs of the parish and designated programs.
